I had the Hygge bowl and it was quite delicious but I felt the price was about 25% higher than what would have been reasonable. I ordered sorbet for dessert. What I was served was more akin to a snow cone: crushed ice with some kind of sweet liquid having been poured on top of it. A true sorbet is made with real fruit and churned similar to ice cream. This was not worth the $8 charged.
Willing to pay any price for a good nosh like a cheese plate, which is such an easy thing to do well from home ingredients that it is really just annoying when a chef with a fully stocked kitchen won’t put out a simple but delicious spread for groups to quickly share and get back outside. So disappointing for what should be the easiest things to prepare. Hummus…a trend I wish would die, but it’s approachable and what we needed to fuel the 7 hour thermal experience and how can you screw up hummus, but they did and it’s clear the kitchen also would love to omit the veggie plate as it presented the same way a busy family fridge crisper drawer looks when random stuff has fallen out of the bags and clamshells then instead of throwing it in the garbage it all gets swept onto a slab of wood and served. The ‘artwork’ is dreadful throughout Thermea. Prices are fine, restaurant service is pretty great considering the likely challenges of working the split levels.
