i love this place. The staff are friendly, I’ve never recieved bad service. The food has always been served without any problems and the coffee is great! Sitting next to the fireplace is a good way to warm up during the winter! =D
So far so bad. One employee working, had to wait 6 minutes for a decaf coffee. Fork she gave us was dirty, as were the plates. Sketchy beggar got a glass of water and begged for change at half the tables. We returned the rock hard cappuccino bar and she then said all the food is NOW 40% off. We liked this place 4 years ago. Not going back unless management changes.
Warm staff, cold cafe. I go to this second cup quite often and absolutely love the staff there; they are extremely friendly and give great recommendations but the cafe is too cold! I know it is just the beginning of winter but competitors seem to be able to keep their cafes above jacket wearing temperature.
Friendly coffe shop. Very nice staff working there currently. If I was the manager I’d be giving myself a pat on the back. The line-up is never long and quite frankly I don’t find the coffee turns my stomach like the nearby competitor’s.
My favourite meeting place. This Second Cup is never crowded, and it is quiet. My preferred coffee is always available, and the staff is pleasant. I go there to meet friends and have a quiet conversation, and, although I always have the same thing myself, the staff has consistently made beverages ‘a la carte’ for my various companions.
Just unpleasant. When meeting with clients we generally go for coffee, their choice of venue, and for whatever reason it tends to be this location more often than not. I’ve had several different latts here since they are usually my favourite but the latts here are just bad. I’m assuming they use a powdered flavour? Either way, it tastes very fake and I really don’t care for them. After trying all the flavours I’d be interested in, I then tried them all again in the ‘skinny’ version. Unfortunately, still not particularly pleasant.The baked goods aren’t bad but they too taste like they were made with a simple pre-fab mix with way too many calories.My suggestion? The starbucks across the street. 😉
Way to expensive. I do love my coffee and for a once in a while treat besides being a faithfull timmies customer i used to like going here for a vanilla bean latte however i find it toooo sweet lately, when i asked if they could make it less sugary they told me to order it half sweet next time, she didnt offer to make me another cup even though there store posters boost how if your not happy with your cup bring it back and we will fix it.the next time i was in i did order it half sweet how ever i was giving up most of the vanilla bean latte flavour as well which left me hot frothy milk with a faint taste of vanilla, at almost $10 for 2 coffees its highway robbery.
