So glad they have Stella’s in the airport I have been to there main location before but no I can get there food at the airport so happy. Me & the wife were on layover at Winnipeg airport for a couple of hours & was dreading it till I seen Stella’s I ordered the mezze plate with chorizo& theTourtire my wife got the Scandinavian Gravlax. The mezze plate was amazing the hummus & tapenade were both delicious the pickled cucumber salad with feta cheese was phenomenal but the best part was the eggplant not sure what they marinated it in but was life changing. The Tourtire was delicious as usual with perfectly roasted potatoes.
Great little restaurant tucked away inside the Winnipeg airport. I had the chili with a salad which was fantastic. The portion was big and the chili had lots of ground beef with the perfect amount of spices. The salad was also tasty with fresh parmesan cheese and creamy dressing. My server was very friendly and I didn’t wait long to get my food. Definitely a place to visit if you are in this airport. Two thumbs up!
Prompt friendly seating and service, despite being a party of one. After check in, had a half hour to kill until inspection area for US flights opened. Took the servers advice, and got the Mexican breakfast with chorizo. Two perfectly cooked delicate poached eggs on a bed of black Beas and corn tortillas, salsa and quac, a huge chorizo, and hash brown red potatoes. Needed a couple dollups of Frank’s Red HotSauce (provided) for proper level of heat. I usually prefer a crispier cook on my hash browns, but their cook achieved a creamy texture, which was nice. A great breakfast before a long day of travel.
Prompt Service, Good Food. I’ve been to the Stella’s in the airport 3 times in the last 2 months. Each time we had around 30 minutes to get food and eat it. The service has been friendly and efficient. They’ve been able to make my meal within 10 minutes (from the salmon benedict to the pesto linguine) and were very accommodating when we wanted to pay in advance or have some of it packaged right away. As always, the food is good and comforting.
Worst service ever. Nov 16/13 Gave it a second chance. As great as the food is, once you get it, at Stella the service leaves a lot to be desired. Being that it is located in the airport one would think that the service would be attentive and fast. Having an hour plus to spare before checking in for our flight, my friend and I decided to have breakfast there. Our server was clearly out of his element. It was 15 minutes before he even approached our table. We placed our order and 15 minutes later I went up to the coffee bar and retrieved our coffee that had been sitting there unclaimed. 15 minutes after that we received our order….45 minutes to get food in an airport restaurant, I got my own coffee for which we were never offered refills and the water I ordered never came…not ideal.Nov 16/2013 Gave Stella a second chance today flying out of YWG. The service was prompt and friendly, the food delicious. Even though we were not in a rush today, we were in and out in just over 30 minutes. 🙂
Delicious. The only place worth going to in the airport. Fun atmosphere sitting and watching travellers around you, nice sunshine gives you patio feel and staff are always friendly! I’ve had the spinach smoothie many times and its tastes better than anything you can get at Booster Juice. Wolsley bar is a must, maybe my favourite dessert and it only costs $3. As far as food I crave their breakfast sandwich with ham daily and never go wrong with any of their soups or a grass-fed beef burger. Hopefully they open up another on the other side of security.
Always love Stella’s!. Stella’s is essentially the anti-Sal’s. Sal’s is famous for being that diner chain that ends up with regrets the next day (or a few hours later).Stella’s on the other hand is like your grandma’s baking, always fresh, always delicious, and you always have to eat so much that your stomach feels like it will explode because of delicious overload. With there being more and more Stella’s locations, you’d think that the quality of the food would go downhill, especially at an airport location, but nope – the airport location is just as good as any other Stella’s. I wasn’t hungry but I can never say no to a Stella’s, so I picked up a cinnamon bun and a glass bottle Coke. $6 and some change for the two, which is a really good deal as the cinnamon bun itself is insanely filling and drizzled with a decent amount of icing.. though I wish there was more icing.Next time I have to be at the Greyhound depot or the airport, Belgian waffles!
