We ordered green and red curry soups and a panang curry with rice on the side. I loved the soups and I was scared to order spicy so I asked for a medium which was not spicy at all for ny taste. I didn’t care that muxh for the panang curry though. I would have been just happy with soup only.
Best curry soup ever here. If they still have their lunch special then please get it. Its amazing! They’re crab wontons are also soooo good. Highly recommend trying this place if you like thai food. It’s a very big restaurant so there’s never a problem trying to get a spot. The service here can be so so.
Sukhothai has been a staple for me for the last 10 years and I can honestly say it hasn’t changed at all (thankfully!).I’m a big fan of their Beef Pad Siew, I get it at 7 spicy and it’s just the right amount of heat (if you like things mild I’d recommend sticking around 5-6 at the most). This dish is always consistent and might be my favourite noodle dish they make. I personally really like the Pad Thai and was the dish that originally got me hooked on this place way back when… I’m sorry to hear not everyone can say the same.Their rice rolls and shrimp spring rolls are also always a good choice along with their keaw krob pouh ath (basically their take on a Crab Rangoon). The mango salad and tom yum soup are also great choices for starters… get vermicelli noodles to add into your soup!As for their stirfry dishes- I’m a big fan of the Cashew and the Lemongrass Pad Puck – make sure you order rice on the side.I get that Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen these days but I truly feel like Sukhothai cares about their customers. It’s always my go to place for Thai food and I’ve never been disappointed. They do right by their customers and if they ever make a mistake, they are quick to fix it no questions asked. There’s a reason this place isnearly always busy6 days a week.
The best food you can have it on Canada day. After roaming on street for almost all day I found peace at this place. Food was amazing. Everything we ordered were tasty. Green curry and soup were were awesome. Unfortunately i don’t remember the names of the items.
$10 lunch special. Super fast and sooo many vegan options! I had spring rolls with amazing peanut sauce! And the hot and sour soup with deep friend tofu!
I’ve been here on several occasions and here are some tips: Service is a lot more attentive during the night; they have a lot more staff and it’s much busier during those hours. During lunch hours or the day the service/food is a hit and miss, don’t expect too much. -their pad sew, green curry and payaya salad is really good and I always find it be consistent -their pad Thai isn’t the greatest -everything ranges in price but mostly around 13-14 a plate -photo enclosed came to $46 total
Usually we are very happy with Sukhothai. But today we ordered lunch from them through Skip the Dishes and it was a complete letdown. It came to $30 and the portion sizes were MUCH smaller than I remember. We only ordered chicken curry and Tom Yum soup, which is basically broth, so we definitely felt jipped. For $30 we could have made both dishes to last us well over a week. Instead we got one meal out of it. Super disappointed.
