Having eaten lunch here before and enjoying the food it was quite the surprise to order takeout that was almost inedible. The noodles were mush, the sauces were tasteless and the chicken in their dishes tasted like old stewing hen. It was tough and stringy in some pieces, yet overly tenderized in others so that the texture was almost mush. That, and the consistent lack of flavour was the common theme throughout each dish.Portions were large, but that doesn’t matter when it almost all went in the trash.

This is one of my favorite places in the city. The ambiance is friendly and clean and there is always plenty of comfortable seating. The staff is very friendly and attentive to us as regulars, but to newcomers as well. The deluxe wonton soup is absolutely fantastic, as is their spicy noodles. Definitely one of the best spots to get food downtown!

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Winnipeg. Family-run, care for quality and service, great tastes and portions, reasonable prices for what you get. My favorities are cantonese chow mein, brisket and tofu and ground pork and egg plant. The latter are from traditional menu and take a bit longer to prepare. So you may want to phone these orders in.

Amazing little place in the heart of Corydon. Appropriately named as dining room ‘sunshiny’ with bright colors and window wall lookingonto street, ideal for people watching. Welcomed graciously upon arrival and was able to choose seating preference.Server washappy to make food recommendations based on likes/dislikes.Sampled several new dishes and boy, were they good!! Thebreaded veal is to die for, tender yet crispy.Had the supreme (not sure its name) stir fried rice with pork, chicken and shrimp~ all generously proportioned. It was moist and delicious. Beef in black bean sauce with noodles was also amazing, sitting on a bed of crispy peppers, bean sproutsand onions. My husbandsfavorite dish wasone I hadn’t conceived of ever trying but was so delighted that I did~ giant prawns, shell on. They are lightly breaded, deep fried and salted and the shell is easy to eat~ crunchy, yet easy to break down. Good calcium injection there! Met the owner’s~ Ling (our gracious host) and even her husband, who came out from the kitchen as we wanted to meet the chef of our delicious meal. All in all, thoroughly enjoyed this little restaurant and will be bringing friends and family whenever Chinese food is craved. Great service, great ambiance and superb food. Thanks Sunshine, till we meet again!!

My first time visiting and it was a great experience. Reasonable prices on great food with large portions. Also really liked their secluded patio in the back

First, ask for the Chinese menu (which is in Chinese and English). They have excellent and authentic Northern Chinese food. The basic menu is standard American-Chinese restaurant food (lemon chicken, etc.) which I didn’t try. The three dishes we ate were terrific–tons of flavor, authentic, and huge servings. They have a busy catering business to local Chinese events. I’ll be back.

This is a fantastic Chinese food restaurant. Must-orders include their succulent breaded veal, tender and crispy; pad sew with beef in black bean sauce. Those are both unbelievable and very tasty. Service is wonderful, they provide recommendations based on what you feel like and what you are craving. They also can suggest authentic dishes that may not be on the menu but are in season. Excellent place for Chinese food!
