This place confuses me because some of the dishes are SO good, but others are SO bad! Like almost inedible! Do not order the chow mien!! The battered shrimp was also too doughy. I ordered one of their house special chicken dishes and was very underwhelmed, it was basically breaded chicken smothered in sweet & sour sauce.However!!! The ginger beef is AMAZING!!!! Also, if you order on skip you can make the dishes spicy. Highly recommend the curry vermicelli, extra spicy. If you do get the ginger beef, ask for honey garlic sauce to dip them in. It’s a surprisingly good combination.
We love the owner/manager, who is always friendly and informative. Good restaurant. I LOVE the hot and sour soup, and I’ve ordered several of the shrimp dishes, which are excellent. EDIT: one criticism is that they don’t cook their vegetables enough. Raw onions as the only side for a dish makes for an unpleasant experience. Still love the ambiance and the owner, though. And my remarks on the hot and sour soup still stand.
