Tea Story is a restaurant with great food but not much else going for it. I love the club sandwich waffle with coleslaw and the bubble teas, but the staff is almost always incompetent, I’m not sure if it’s a language barrier but they seem to never understand their own menu. Both times I have come to the restaurant it has been very dirty inside too, with a ripped leather chair covered in dirt and slush in the winter and the kitchen looking like it was in a state of disarray. Their patio also is a strange concept as it is in a fenced in dark alleyway with a couple of dirty tables in it. Overall, the sandwich waffles are excellent but the staff definitely needs work, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this restaurant go under soon. It will be takeout for me next time.

I’m giving it a 5 because it is perfect for what I am looking for: a crispy waffle with fresh fruit and real whipped cream for under $10. I never order anything else.

The place had a small rush of people and my friend and I were at the end of the rush, so it is understandable that we had to wait a little while. But we waited over 40 minutes for our waffles and the cashier overcharged me for my food. In the end the waffles were not even good, the Oreo Monster and Half Half were way too sweet and the waffle itself was soggy. Overall, I had an unpleasant experience and will not be returning.

The layout is very cute and cosy chic though it can feel a bit cramped sometimes. Despite this, it is still a great meeting place! Just maybe keep it to two people and don’t invite the whole group chat lol. I LOVE their wide variety of loose leaf tea. It’s so nice to go to a place and want to experiment and be surprised! This place is definitely a fun hideaway for cold days or a casual get together.

Had the Thai moment sandwich- very yummy, as well as a watermelon bubble tea with soy milk also very very good would definitely get it again. My only issue is its kind of dark in there and the windows are so so filthy. The floor looked like they have never been swept. Kind of a turn off when it’s just an easy simple thing ever restaurant should do. Every Time I drive by the windows are dirty which makes it seem like they don’t care about the appearance of the restaurant. Good food, good service, the guy working was all alone but he was pretty quick and very nice. Poor appearance.

Firstly I must say we enjoyed our food. Really hit the spot. I had the chicken Caesar sandwich which was delicious. However, we had come in as a party of five for a late lunch and I must say it’s not the best place to go if you are in a hurry. There wasn’t anyone in line before us but it took almost an hour to get all our orders. And even then my smoothie was wrong and a bubble tea was completely missed. It’s a good thing we had gotten all our food in to-go containers or we would have been much later than we already were. In short – delicious, but they need to invest in more blenders and waffle makers. When your entire food menu involves waffles and 2/3rds of your drinks involve blenders – you should invest in more than one of each appliance.
