I had a take-out open-faced sandwich for lunch from here the other day. The menu has unique options, with flavour combinations I wouldn’t even think to try, and overall it is very healthy. However, the presentation was very confusing and I think judging by the pictures, these sandwiches are more suited to dining in.
I was looking for a place for lunch that was unique from the usual lunch experience and Il Molino did not disappoint. Although at first I was not sure what to expect out of a Danish Open Faced sandwich, the display helped narrow down my options before finally deciding on the Smoked Salmon and Avocado with caviar (pictured below). The sandwich was prepared quickly and came with some excellent potato salad. I have since been back a couple more times to also try their shrimp sandwich as well as their signature Il Molino with both of those sandwiches also being tremendous. They offer 2-for-1 prices on Tuesdays, which is amazing value for what you receive. The service is top notch and the atmosphere is quaint. Whether youre wanting a quick lunch, lunch date, or out with co-workers Il Molino is one of my favourite places on Corydon to be.
