Not terrible, not great. Service is always mediocre, aside from a few select servers who shine (hi, Krista! Killin’ it, girl!) Cocktails are delicious! Especially the white cross. Beer is never quite cold enough and tastes like the lines need cleaning (that kind of leftover tang from other beers). Food is mediocre — except for the steak bites which I would die for! Some shining moments, but mostly a dud.
I’ve been here a few times and I feel like this is a place trying too hard to be fancy. The prices are a little high for the portion and quality I feel you receive. I feel like they try to prepare high quality dishes with high quality ingredients, but the flavors come out average. The service seems also average; it is neither awful but it is also not top quality. I feel like this place either needs to be more of an average contemporary american food place with better prices, or needs to find something to add wow factor. Its a place I would go continue to go to, but not somewhere I can suggest people to visit.
This place was awesome. They were busy but they still found us a place to sit. Service was quick and the staff were friendly. Food was fresh and delicious. Drinks were a touch expensive, but that’s really not a huge concern when they provide such awesome food and positive environment!
First time here and it was a great experience! I got the Steak sandwich and I will say I was actually surprised with how much I enjoyed it! The poached egg was a great touch, egg done perfectly but most importantly the meat was delicious! Tenderloin meat cooked perfectly and seasoned very very well. Every bite was delightful and flavourful. The starter salad was simple yet good. Tried a bite of my friends KFC Banh Mi and actually enjoyed it. I’m actually pretty surprised with how much I enjoyed the food here. Will come back to try more on the menu.
This review is about my visit from several months ago, but it’s still relevant.Cornerstone took a big risk by going with a simple cheeseburger for Le Burger Week 2016, that they called The Ron Swanson. And it paid off! The burger was spectacular – easily one of the best I’ve had. The bun was fresh, homemade and light and fluffy, the burger was cooked and charred to perfection, the cheese had just the right amount of tanginess. It goes to show that simple can be very, very effective. I was extremely impressed. I hope they consider keeping The Ron Swanson on their permanent menu.I sat at the bar by myself, and it was a nice experience. Comfy chairs, lots of room, and the servers/bartenders were friendly and helpful, but not overly chatty.It was a great experience.
So this is a late review…. I went to this place for burger week (only because it was open late on that long weekend monday). There burger week special didn’t entice me so I decided to get there cornerstone burger (which they said was a previous burger week special few years ago). The waitress who was very nice talked me into getting their burger week special (the Ron Swanson with cheese). Overall worst burger I’ve had during burger week. The waitress was nice enough to get me my original order of the cornerstone burger at no charge… that burger was way better than there special… sorry for no pics… overall location is nice… good place to have eats and drinks if in the Osborne area.. inside very nice… modern.. I would definitely hit that place up if in the area to try the rest of their menu
Me and my boyfriend had late lunch here. We thought its a bit pricey but it wasnt. Environment is so neat! We loved it! cheap but delicious and presentable food! We will definitely come back to back to back!
