Eh, Ill never understand the hype around the Keg. Hubbys steak has been over cooked both times we went, although I had a fantastic salmon last time. We ordered a shrimp appy that was $15 and had 6 shrimp, lol. It was a bit of a joke. Probably wouldnt go back.

We went for our anniversary dinner last night. Crazy long wait of over an hour ( should have made a reservation). Finally got in and we were going to sit at a back table that was so cold with a draft it felt like we were sitting outside. I noticed a free table by the fireplace and we were able to switch. Our server was fabulous the whole evening which saved the night. I decided to try the Cajun shrimp and medallions with Asiago rice and a side wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and a Lindemans Bin 45 glass of wine. The man ordered the burger with fries. The salad and fresh bread was lovely and we were starving. Our meals arrived very shortly after and my plate was quite disappointing. The Cajun shrimp you could tell came out of a pre made sauced bag that had been boiled. The medallions which I asked for med rare came out rare and medium, tender but lacking the basic of seasoning. Everything lacked seasoning, the rice was a basmati rice that you would think would be something like a risotto because of the Asiago cheese but it was a dry flavorless pilaf. The shrimp was very spicy but lacking actual flavor. I had to send it back and by the time I got to my boyfriend was pretty much done his burger so I nibbled on his as it was pointless to re order and sit eating by myself. The manager came over and she was lovely and they sent over the ice cream mudflapper pie which is a refreshing way to end the meal. So thank you to the manager and server. I’ll stick to the classics going there from now on though like the prime rib or blue cheese filet.

Came here for dinner with the family and as expected we had a delicious meal. I’ve been to The Keg several times before and they are spot on in terms consistency. Our steaks came out exactly as ordered and the waiter was attentive throughout the evening. Even special requests like sauces on the side and extra au jus for the prime rib didn’t phase our waiter one bit!Eating here is expensive… In terms of value, you can definitely eat cheaper elsewhere. At The Keg, you are paying for consistency and service. Asides for the price, I’m still not understanding why it’s so dark in this place. It actually is borderline annoying, especially when it’s actually brighter in the parking lot than in the restaurant!

Went for supper last night. Service was really good, very attentive. Had the 12 oz peppercorn New York strip and the 10 oz filet mignon. Both were cooked perfectly and the twice stuffed baked potato was good but the skin was almost too burnt to eat. Definitely will come back again though.

Celebrated our anniversary at The Keg downtown this evening and our server Tammy was a dream. Friendly, efficient service and we very much appreciated the complimentary congratulatory dessert.

I brought my family here last weekend for a celebratory dinner. What a great night! All of our dishes were cooked to perfection and the service was really good. I was a little disappointed at the booth we were crammed into, as I had taken the initiative to make a reservation for the six of us and they sat us at a table more fitting for five. Other than that, we all had a great experience! The steaks are top notch.
