Went here for lunch and did not enjoy the experience. I ordered a bacon burger and the bun fell apart before I could finish it. I assume it was all the grease, because the fries were very heavy and greasy as well. Will probably not return, and the 5 others we were with said pretty much the same thing. I heard breakfast might be better, so maybe, just maybe, Ill stop in to try it.

My buddy and I always meet at Thunderbird Restaurant on McPhillips and Jefferson for breakfast every Friday. The waitress, D’Arcy, is always so friendly and smiling and has my cup of coffee poured almost before I sit down. She knows all the regulars by name and always has a moment to chit chat with them as she’s taking their orders. The breakfast is the best deal in town — for only $5.95 which includes my several cups of coffee. I usually order the kulbasa (my wife is Ukrainian) has browns with onions, two eggs over easy, toast and a slice of tomato or orange. The portion is so huge I always take half of it home for my wife! Before we leave around 10:30, there isn’t a spare seat to be had. D’Arcy seems to be able to handle it all, moving from table to table, for refills on the coffee and a friendly word or two. I’d highly recommend anyone with a big appetite to check it out. You won’t be sorry! It was originally owned by Greeks but was bought out by Chinese a few years ago who were smart to keep everything the way it’s always been, right down to all the photos and mementos that line the walls…reminds me of Kelekis Restaurant which sadly closed a few years back.
