Surprisingly good.. I went to Umi Sushi on a weekday during the end of the lunch rush. I ordered the assorted lunch combination (pre-made), which included the alaska roll, the bakudan roll, and a California roll. I was feeling hungry, so I also ordered an umekyu roll (pickled plum with cucumber). I was very happy to see that they offered the umekyu roll, since many sushi restaurants don’t. The pickled plum was very acidic; I think that they could have used it more sparingly. Overall, the rolls were surprisingly good for a restaurant situated in a not so glamorous location.
Very good. This is one of my favourite sushi restaurants and I like that they use skip the dishes. my only complaint is that you have to specifically ask for wasabi because the only time my order came with it was when I asked (delivery)
One of the best!. We tried the miso soup here this week and it was fantastic. This is a small place in Winnipeg Square with limited hours, but it’s definitely worth a visit. The rolls are made to order and consistently fresh. It is great for lunch because it’s quick and fairly inexpensive. I work Downtown, so when I’m craving sushi for lunch, this is my go-to restaurant.
This is one of my favourite sushi places in the city and I have become a regular there over the years. The sushi is extremely fresh and delicious and can be made to order (or you can pick up ready made lunch boxes). The prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Best sushi ever. I ate in this restaurant just one time..but i never forget the taste of the sushi especially their miso soup…best miso soup everrrrr…i live far thats why cant come there more often…i ate in so many sushi restaurant but the taste of miso and sushi of umi sushi is still the best for me..ill give em 10/10
It’s honestly one of my favourite sushi places. I’ve become a regular since they opened. Not only because of their sushi but also their excellent service. They always have the nicest employees who chat with you while they make your food and they always have the biggest smiles when you walk in. Their miso soup is by far the best I’ve ever had. Definitely a place worth checking out!!
The Lunch Boxes are pretty good. For only $8.93 you get 2 kinds of roll (5pc each) and a choice between a soda or a soup.
