Went out for my birthday dinner last night to Wasabi’s on Broadway, everything was wonderful but the sashimi wasn’t the greatest, I ordered a few different things and salmon but the waitress came back and said there was no more salmon…really? One of the most popular things is salmon, I had ordered a few different ones but I couldnt remember how many pieces, so I just ordered some tuna…I guess it was my fault I should of ordered more pieces, everything else was excellent. UPDATE: Went to Wasabis a few days ago for a birthday dinner, we were shocked to find out that you can no longer sit upstairs because it costs too much to pay employees on slow days, made me sad, I get it but its like the last traditional place you can go to sit on the floor and have the full experience. We had to sit downstairs by the bar, seriously cramped and not enough room to move, wasn’t a fan. There was 8 of us and we all ate our meals at different times, was strange. Food was good, sashimi was nice and thick, which I like, sushi pizza was so small, not like in the past, spicy mango prawns are always amazing, my friend tried the special blue fin, she said it tasted fishy, I tried it, I did not smell fishy or taste fishy, was very thick and delicious. All in all I mean its the place to go, its just changed a bit.
We enjoy the oysters. And every time we visit wasabi we must always order the spicy mango prawns as well as the new style sushi roll. Excellent quality. The server recommended that I tried one of their grapefruit cocktails and it wasn’t what I had expected and felt that it didn’t go well with my meal; however, we will be returning!
The Swizzle Styx dined here today and it was fabulous, not sure why we haven’t been here in so long. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We had a lot! Miso soup, tuna gomae, Broadway sashimi, salmon and tuna sashimi, dynamite roll, kamikaze roll, volcano roll, spicy tuna roll, and oysters! Sorry I forgot to take pictures until near the end. Everything was perfectly fresh and delicious. Feb 2017 – We dined here again last week and once again everything was excellent!
Amazing sushi place to go , lil over budget and expensive but food is good . Located on broadway , not alot of parking and its inside a house looking building .
Seems to be unaffiliated with the other wasabi location (or at least their taste buds are). Same giant prices for half the rolls. And a reduced menu that cut out one of wasabi osborne’s best rolls
Wasabi on broadway worst customer service. Horrible, terrible owners!!! Extremely pricey for the portions you receive. The owner and his wife care about nothing but your money and their egos. Worst experience I have ever had was at their restaurant last year. Once again, horrible people. I wanted to go to the free press with my story how rude and disgusting they were to my friend and I after spending over $70 on take out for lunch. The owner and his wife yelled at us in front of other customers because we wanted our money back.
Truly the Premier Sushi place in town. Had the best sushi here in ages! We asked our server Alaura, who was very knowledgeable, to order for us. The Spicy prawns was excellent, mayo and pineapple always taste great together. The Mahalo roll, OMG roll & Jimbo San roll was also excellent but then again, butterfish is my favorite sashimi cut. The Lobster Newstyle was like eating a beautiful piece of beef but not. The warm oil, soy and ginger take it to another level.
