I read online that they had good ramen I can here and no ramen but stayed anyways. I ordered some sushi and the chicken kara age. The toro and hamachi nigiri were my favourite and the chicken kara age was amazing super juicy season so well and the ginger soy dipping sauce goes great with it.
Like all of the other negative reviews on here I will not be heading back not because of the food, but because of the exceptionally poor customer service.
Sweet lord..that Dan Dan Ramen was delectable. Seated promptly & serviced within minutes during a busy lunch hour. I left satiated & was delighted by their savoury ramen, courtesy & prompt service. Thank you!
You will need a reservation, restaurant is small and busy and the service staff is very pleasant but you do have to wait a bit as they seem a bit under staffed on the busy times. There is a fresh fish, seafood and sushi special menu page on top of the regular menu. I didn’t find the sushi to be that spectacular, we had a specialty roll off the special menu which seemed to have whole grain mustard in it which I found odd, and the 2 other basic rolls didn’t wow me. The sashimi could have been sliced a little thicker but was very fresh. The steamed miso black cod, and the grilled tuna collar really stole the show, and I would go back just to order that.
Me and my partner went there the other night as we wanted to eat ramen. But unfortunately they only offer ramen during lunch time which is sad 🙁 First impression that the place is quiet small but its cozy and decorations are nice. We ordered gyoza, soft shell crab and one Yujiro bento box. Food came out fast but we were again disappointed by the small portion. One suggestion that they should buy a smaller size bento box to make it more appealing. Gyoza was nice but the flavour is not there. I could find the same taste in frozen section at Asian supermarket. Soft shell crab is ok but for the price I would expect more than that. The service is not professional and the server doesnt look really pleasant. However, sashimi and sushi rolls are quite nice and fresh. I used to work at Japanese restaurant for 3 years and I could say that the quality does not match with the price. At least thats for me. Overall not a good experience for us.
The best sushi in the city hands down. You won’t get the freshness and quality of sushi at your other standard sushi joints in the city. Prices are slightly higher, but you get what you pay for.Chef Ed’s pride shows in the quality and presentation of his food.
One of the best places to get sushi in winnipeg in my opinion. They bring in fish from all parts of the world, and they literally melt in your mouth. They have the typical kind of rolls that you would find in other sushi places but also some rolls that you would not find at other places. Also, the best ramen you can find in winnipeg. The restaurant is almost always busy, so if you want to eat there make sure you make a reservation
