I have heard many positive things about this restaurant and ultimately was left extremely disappointed and on my mothers birthday dinner night. When we first sat down, our server couldn’t answer 1 question without looking at the menu, which is fine as i assume she was new and still learning. After we received our food, we were pretty much forgotten about. The rolls were all small and definitely not worth the price they charge. We were all still left hungry and intended on ordering more rolls, but after waiting 15 minutes with no service, we decided it was not worth it. Finally the older lady from the front came to fill our fully empty water glasses and i asked for the cheque. Another ten minutes goes by without receiving it, so i went up and asked for it again. When i got to the front, i expressed my disappointment for the service and was met with the same lady who was rude, pushy and wouldn’t listen to a word i was saying. Loudly claimed i was a liar and loud enough for the who restaurant to turn our. Extremely unprofessional. Definitely will never go back to this place again.

On a Thursday around 1:00 there was a long lineup and I waited for around 20 minutes before I could be seated. That being said, when I finally was able to sit down and eat the food it was delicious. I ordered the lunch bento that comes with miso soup and a salad and found it surprisingly filling and fresh. I understand many of the reviews that say the service is poor, however because of the popularity of the restaurant I cant really fault the staff for being rushed or less than friendly. I would recommend Yujiro to anyone but please, for your own sake, make a reservation.
