Loved it!! Best Chicken Caesar wraps in town. Fives stars across the board!
Great battle of the burger. Nice patio, good service.
Friendly but Slow . . . and Greasy. The servers and the barkeep at the Snooty Fox are not at all snooty–very friendly and accommodating, in fact, but both they and their colleagues in the kitchen seem to take a while to get in gear.Though our drink order was taken quickly, we had to wait a good long while to order food. As Tuesday is wing night at the Snooty Fox, and we were very hungry and in a bit of a rush, we ordered wings as an appetizer, thinking they’d be ready to go. Wrong. They took over half an hour to arrive. When they did, they were extremely overcooked. Hard as rocks, in fact, yet still very greasy. It’s not often that you see those two qualities in the same dish. Perhaps they had been pre-cooked and then given a quick dip in the deep fryer on their way to the table. Our main course (fish and chips) arrived in a similar state. The fish was so overcooked that it was difficult to break it with a knife, yet still incredibly greasy. The fries also were greasy but soggy and a bit raw in the middle. The Snooty Fox has adopted the trendy practice of serving its food on parchment paper, dull charcoal grey parchment paper, which is glossed to bright ebony by the lake of shiny grease that remains on its surface as the food is removed. Not the best advertisement for the victuals.
Super accommodating. Sought shelter in the Fox late one night ’cause my roommates accidentally locked me out, it was freezing, and I had an essay to write.Naturally, to top it all off, my laptop was dying, so the bartender took pity on me and plugged me in behind the bar. Not a huge thing, but the fact that he noticed me suffering and /he offered/ to go that little bit out of his way (probably breaking a rule or two in the process) to help a freezing student just made my night.Incidentally, also one of the biggest, best veggie burgers I’ve eaten.
Its called snooty fox because the waitresses and waiters there are snooty. Excellent food but bad service.
Good food hot server
Rude service and empty glass. At this restaurant it is normal to sit with no initial service or an empty glass. Once, the waitress tossed the glass at my table, she was in such a hurry to get more drinks at the bar. She didn’t set the glass on the table, she slid/slammed it on the run. It splashed. She was extremely rude and is apparently, according to her, the manager. Discussing it with a colleague I found they had the same experience – sitting with an empty glass and no wait staff in sight. They complained and this same server said if they did not like it to leave and not come back! She said that she had 7-8 tables and a customer could wait. The staff has more tables than they can handle. Don’t expect prompt drink service or politeness. My one experience on the roof patio was the opposite. A different waitress was attentive and food was fast and as always very good.
