Fast friendly service. Food is good and portions are generous. I had their chili for the first time and it was very good. Not too spicy and although I like it spicier I know that’s not to everyone’s taste. We will be back. Turkey sandwiches are their signature item and is their most popular dish. Hey out with the cranberry mayo.

Recommend TakeOut Only. Almost walked out … you know all those little things that add up? the event posters on the window were a month out of date, the windows were grimy, the door handle sticky, tables hasn’t been cleared, front counter staff (16-20 year old females) were unkempt (one was busy chewing her fingernails!), unsmiling and not busy.. But we ordered the hot turkey sandwich. Counter staff assumed we knew that drinks were self-serve, and that we weren’t provided with a number for the order (cook staff just came out, wandered around asking folks if this was their order). The large round garbage can where leftovers were thrown was right beside the cash register – – not behind closed doors, say in the kitchen area. We sat down to wait: the only thing that was clean was the table top – the salt & pepper shakers, sides / seats / back of the seats, table legs, inside of the windows, floor – – looked like nothing had ever been scrubbed down since it was installed! Neither of us was brave enough to check out the bathrooms …. The food arrived quickly – – on paper plates with plastic utensils – – very thankful for both – – and it was every bit as good as we had been told!! But we won’t be back. Nothing that a closing for a day – and washing down everything with a power washer – wouldn’t solve.

Love Breen’s Sandwiches!. Delicious sandwiches – the cranberry mayonnaise is a must-try! Turkey vegetable soup is a bit salty, but for most Newfoundlanders I’m sure it’s delicious 🙂

Turkey and Dressing Sandwiches. I usually don’t write reviews for non-restaurants but I have to give a thumbs up for Breen’s turkey and dressing sandwiches. After moving from Newfoundland four years ago, I still crave these sandwiches and they don’t exist here. Everytime I visit Newfoundland, I always make it a point to have a Breen’s turkey and dressing sandwich. Yum!
