Don’t waste your time with take-out. It is easy to see that being located close to a university, the take-out they serve is fit only for a starving student. Unfortunately the prices don’t reflect this.Quality and portion size is poor, as it were just leftovers. Would not be so bad if their take-out price were cheaper than eat-in.I do like the restaurant’s atmosphere and the menu choices for eat-in, but I feel that in recent years quality and portion size has been slipping. Management has been caught by catering to the student body who are in and out for a quick meal and not a night out for a good experience.
I went to Quintana’s for the first time and I loved the atmosphere and service :). The food was delicious and I thought it was such a fun restaurant! Will be going for a second visit for sure.
My family has been going to quintanas for as long as I can remember. The food is amazing and the service is very good and friendly. The paquitas and refried beans are to die for. It is by far my favourite restaurant!

Did Not Enjoy Food or Service. My fiance and I did not enjoy this place. Did not like the atmosphere, the service, and especially not the food. We were told it was excellent Mexican food, better than Zapatas. We disagree. We’ve been to Zapatas on several occasions and love it.
Quintana’s is owned by the same people who brought Tex-Mex food to Newfoundland over 30 years ago. It Is known for its origional recepies and delicious menu. By far the best Tex-Mex place in Newfoundland, a must try!
St. John’s isn’t exactly known for it’s Mexican food but there are places better than this.
