Want a nonchalant evening with an interesting tasting menu and amazing cocktails? This is it. Ambiance is fun and inviting. Cant go wrong. Far from pretentious and plenty of oysters.
Not sure what I did to deserve the service I got here. First it was a 45 minute wait for a single space at the bar. Then it was a 30 min wait for my first dish. Meanwhile the guy beside me who was seated just after me had two plates served. The dish was good crisp nachos and flavorful guacamole- although for the price it was a bit small and just avocado in the guacamole. I prefer mine with tomatoes and onion. Then I ordered the special butter chicken which -as I am celiac which I had stated very clearly to the host and my waitress – was to come on a corn tortilla instead of the naan. Another 40 min and the next diner beside me is served three dishes including the butter chicken special while I’m still waiting – no apology/explanations offered. Finally I am served and I think the corn tortilla looks a bit puffy but I stupidly eat a crumb – nope it’s naan – now I’m going to be sick tonight. Offered only the most offhand apology. Unbelievable! If you really need to eat gluten free I would say avoid this place altogether. If they serve a celiac naan bread who knows what kind of cross contamination is going on in the kitchen.
Great setting, location and delicious food. Adelaide has a diverse menu for food and cocktails plus a reasonable selection of beers. The most common complaint I’ve heard of Adelaide is that the music is very loud but it seems they have turned it down slightly to the point where you can actually have a conversation, well without yelling. I’ve found myself recently frequenting Adelaide for the atmosphere and food. Seems like they have a good thing going.
Great food, but music was crazy loud! Had to yell across the table to communicate. I get that they want it to feel lively but this was just annoying.
Spectacular food, very innovative thoughts on meals. Neat to have a nice tapas bar on water street. Try the lettuce wrapped fish tacos when you are there – phenomenal.
Tacos are too small!
