There are few places to eat on this side of the Irish loop but the Celtic Knot is a saviour. The food is typical of Newfoundland but tasty and the staff are very friendly.
This restaurant looks like just another road side stop but the menu is wonderful and the food lives up to their hype. Homemade soup and generous sandwiches here at reasonable prices. A great place to eat on an otherwise barren stretch of the Irish Loop.

We were touring the Irish Loop and looking for lunch. We asked some local ladies for a recommendation and The Celtic Knot was their response. This little diner was just what we wanted. Great food, great service and clean, basic decor.
The most friendly place ever, the people who run this are simply so welcoming and its full of locals so that is a recommendation in itself. The fish and chips with gravy is simply superb – great grub at a very reasonable price. Just go!!
This pub was a good place to go and eat pub food. The food is typical pub food, but it was very tasty. The staff is friendly and we ended up visiting with all the local people that were eating in that evening.
