Best bagels outside Montreal. Montreal style bagels: crispy, chewy, malty flavored. Addicting bagels, croissant and baguette. I visited twice last week and had friendly and helpful conversations with the baker. If you are in st. John’s you should go there. Go early for croissant. Cash only. Call ahead to make sure they are open as they do take some time off in August.
This place has been around since 2002, and all the locals told me that this was a place to go. Having lived in Montreal, we were happy to discover that they’d learned bagels from working at various Montreal bagel shops. The food is great and the service is friendly. We ate from there almost very every day the week we were in town.
