Steamed lobster. We recently visited this pub on our trip from Saskatchewan and it was one of the only places we could find on the whole Avalon peninsula that had lobster on the menu.We ordered 2 of their steamed lobster at $27 each. IT WAS DISGUSTING.!!! I should have sent it back. i have eaten lobster in Saskatchewan,Alberta,Nova Scotia and B.C and this was by far and away the worst excuse for lobster anywhere,and in Atlantic Canada yet!I cannot implore everyone reading this enough,stay away from their lobste!!!!! r,oh yes we also ordered a small steak to go with it and were charged $15 for a $5 striploin,although it was cooked ok. It really spoiled our whole conception of what St Johns would have to offer for lobster. We never went back, not even for a beer.
Supper fare. I had the chicken wings. They were meaty and had a generous amount of sauce. There was a band playing later in the evening that we stayed for. Once the band started playing, it was difficult to see let alone move from our table. There were people four deep. I would recommend this restaurant for the food but don’t go when the band is playing unless you want to stay put in your seat for the rest of the night lest you lose it.
Good wings great staff.
