If visiting the area, be sure to stop in even if it is for a pint of beer. Service is great and the food you won’t be disappointed. The appetizers are perfect for a break while enjoying the downtown area.
Amazing experience! Went there for dinner while visiting St. John’s. Service was excellent! Walked in without a reservation and they were very accommodating and seated us right away. Ordered fries, wings and seasoned nuts for starters, which were all very tasty. For main, I had the pan seared food which was delicious. Husband had the steak which he also enjoyed. Food was very rich and we were so full that we didn’t order dessert. But we saw other people getting them and they looked really good! Would recommend to anyone visiting St. John’s to definitely have a meal there!
This trendy new restaurant in downtown St. John’s is sure to wow patrons with great food, service and an inviting interior. Walking in on a Friday night I didn’t expect to be able to get a table but the front end staff were quick to figure out a window in which we could grab dinner and at least a couple of drinks. Already impressed by the friendliness of the staff we were quickly seated in a sleek social setting you would expect in any young trendy neighbourhood in Calgary or Toronto. After looking over the menus I ordered their spin on the classic Vesper and although not true to the original recipe it was still a delicious cocktail. With this I ordered the burger while my companion tried the duck. Both were phenomenal but I did find myself rather jealous of the duck that was perfectly cooked and delicious (next time). When finished our bill came quickly and we paid and left happy. As a new restaurant I really expected a lot of growing pains but the Social House nailed it. Flawless service from amazing staff, well timed and delicious food plus a great environment. I will definitely be back.
