We did not find the negatives here that appear on the site a few years ago. It wasn’t a superior restaurant but a simple looking diner type of place. We visitors found the staff friendly and efficient. Prices did not seem atrocious but maybe slightly more than those not downtown. It was here that we were introduced to toutons, a pancake made by frying dough in a pan with butter or pork fat and served with molasses or corn syrup. We understand that it is commonly made from left over bread dough.We had breakfast at better places and at worse and had no problem recommending this place for breakfast.

Just ok. Wait till 8 and go next door to classic cafe east! The food, price, and service are all way better!!!
Good but soooo slow. Good food but only if you have lots of time, expect to wait 35-40 minutes for breakfast to arrive.The worst part was that the owner insisted on charging us despite the fact that after 40 minutes of waiting we had to go back to work! She claimed we should have warned her that we only had 1 hour for lunch…madness!
Homemade baked beans and freshly made toutons, who could ask for more? Lots of coffee, hot and fresh. Good way to start the day. Service is quick but not rushed.
