Celiacs – GO TRY THIS PLACE!!!. I have had to eat gluten free for awhile now, so am used to how difficult it is to trust a restaurant that says they have gluten free menu items. So many places try, but fail at creating something that is not only actually gluten free but also tasty.Evan’s EXCELS at both ends of this spectrum!!! The fish, clams and scallops are all gluten free and are delicious!! The lobster poutine is so good that it should be illegal. I am a guy that really likes home cut fries and most places that do great fries cook them in a bath of non-gluten free oil. Evan’s makes not only gluten free fries, but they make excellent fries.It is a cool spot because they also serve some items that are not gluten free for the skeptics, a great variety of fresh and frozen fish for purchase and of course, Sweet Williams Sausages (mmmm…gluten free and also delicious).I would and often do highly recommend this Alderney Landing gem.Try it, you won’t be sorry!!!
The lobster roll was AMAZING! Everything we ordered was to perfection…. And the waterfront view topped it all off nicely!!!
This was our first stop after getting off the airplane, flying all day from Calgary, and it was amazing! We had the lobster roll and the lobster poutine n it totally hit the spot! We even made one more stop on our way back to the airport just to get one more of there delicious lobster rolls each. Mmmmmm
I wish their prices dropped like their portion sizes did. Not worth the money anymore for what little you get.
We’ll be back!!!!. My fiancee and I went for GF fish and chips and I nearly cried! The food was AMAZING and the staff was beyond awesome. The interior was like a mall cafeteria but we sat outside by the water while we waited for and ate our food. They had music playing and it ended up being the perfect ending to our day together. The portions were ample and the fish was so good that I wanted MORE after finishing my first 2 pieces!!! As a celiac it was fantastic to see how dedicated they are to making sure that there is no cross contamination. Love the food, people & atmosphere. Will be back! and made sure to make the owner aware of this site too!
