A special place…. Annies place is such a special spot in Halifax. I have read many reviews about it and the positive ones by far outweigh the negative (which there will always be people with a sour taste where ever they eat). I just had to express my love for this place. A number of years ago I was asked to drop off a catering order and could see instantly what a kind woman she was, it is in her eyes. Everyone comments about how she has regulars or knows the name of many of her customers and it is because she cares and she would care for you too given the chance. Her food is served humbly and always hits the spot. Her eggs benny on Saturdays draw many people out of bed and her homemade bread is such a nice touch any day of the week. Always fresh ingredients used and tucked away are frozen meals to go if you want a bite for later. I am so thankful that I was directed to Annies that day. She has become a great friend and I run up the road for lunch whenever I can or grab my new favorite – Strawberry tea and a breakfast sandwich on the go before my work day starts. She and her caf are a true gem.
The rating is 100% accurate. Annie’s is amazing! The owner is a wonderful woman. You can tell that this is her passion and that she loves what she is doing. She makes an effort to interact with her customers and you can tell that she certainly has regulars! We had a fantastic experience here and wouldn’t go anywhere else for breakfast in Halifax.
Best Breakfast in Nova Scotia. Best breakfast within our 3-weeks-roundtrip! An absolutely Must-have! Reasonable prices, fresh food, giant portions and very nice Staff (incl. Anny)! Highly recommanded!
Annie is a sweet and friendly lady. Great breakfast and some of the niceness people stop by here in the morning.
