The Good: they offer free parking on the weekends at Purdy Wharf; the wait staff is excellent and they have a patio outside which is nice. As well as they make the best fall off the bone ribs ever and I like their garlic mash, it’s quite good. The Bad:We didn’t receive the cut of meat ordered. We asked for medium-rare prime rib steak. At $30+ you would expect a nice piece of meat. Instead it looked like thick boiled piece of meat. How unappetizing! It had no color inside, so i reckon that it was cooked to medium. We told the server and he checked with the kitchen and they said that because it was a bit later, the roast had cooked more. But it wasn’t that late. It was tops 7ish, either way they shouldn’t be selling us a piece of meat for $30+ if they suspect that!I also heard another guy from another table complain about his prime rib, and they were going to send it back.Long story short- don’t order the prime rib! Also dip for sweet potato fries is lacking. Basically just mayo with some paprika. They really need a better dip, like a curry, honey mayo would be nice. The Ugly:It is way too loud in here. We had to move twice. Not at all like it’s chain restaurants (or what I’ve come to expect for Baton Rouge. BR usually have lots of booths, lots of privacy, good noise control. This place is like going to a hockey game! It’s too open. If it’s not the the noise from other guest tables, it’s the sound of their blender making drinks. It’s a beautiful building, but very badly designed. If you want a nice dinner where you can actually hear each other talk- go somewhere else.
