Calamari was absolutely delicious. Lamb was also fabulous. Service from Sonny was personable and helpful. Portions were very generous. Highly recommend. We’ll be back.
Had dinner a few days ago. The table was beautifully set and presented. The waitor was friendly and very polite. We ate the Gnochi (pasta) and the margarita pizza. Both were very good. The pasta in particular tasted amazing. Overall lovely dinning experience and I would deffinitly come back.

It was OK, overall. The salmon special was good, but the haddock was overcooked, dry, and very unappealing in appearance. The restaurant is very dark and very sedate, almost too quiet. Given the prices and atmosphere, and the server not even bothering to ask why the haddock was barely touched, I would not recommend it.
Lunch vs Dinner? hmm… I used to like cafe chianti alot, but now I find they are a bit going downhill, sadly. Either that, or my expectations of this Halifax favourite is higher. You’re better off going for lunch because they serve the same size portion in the evening; the bonus at lunch is that you pay half price for it vs. the full price at night. Great desserts, authentic italian flare.
Went here for the first time at this new location for my girlfriends birthday. I had the rack of lamb which was delicious. She had the veal which was sage based and she was iffy about the flavor but all in all a very good experience
I had the spinach salad starter and a steak entree. Delicious and fresh! The waitress did not ask me if I wanted dessert which I would have ordered as the portions here are smallish (especially at these prices)
