Tried this the other day on my lunch break after finding it on yelp. It is a really nice little shop but very small. There is maybe enough sitting for 4-6 people max. Got the chicken club panini and it was so good, the cheese was googie and the bread was good and it had mushrooms in it which I love. For sure will be back to try another good panini
AMAZING!!!!!!. I went here today with a friend and had the most amazing lunch of my life!! Highly recommend it to people who just pass it by everyday! I had the spicy chicken club and the chocolate chip cookie (better then my mom’s…shhhh). Great place and the staff are so friendly!! Two thumbs up from me 🙂 I can’t wait to try everything else they offer for lunch!
Hidden Halifax Treasure!. I found this place from this site when I was loooking to try something new rather than my usual sandwich spot. I had the proscuitto panini with fresh mozarella, tomato, basil, and rosemary aioli and it was absolutely delicious. I also had a walnut truffle cookie that was to die for! I would definitely recommend this place to someone who appreciates a gourmet touch to their regular everyday lunch. I will definitely be back! What a great find!
My favorite cafe in Halifax. This is my regular coffee shop. I cheat sometimes and go down the street to one of Cibouletts’s competitors, but I always come back (which says a lot since this cafe is three blocks from my office and the others are a lot closer). Both coffee and food are excellent. I am sitting here at my desk eating one of their chocolate walnut truffle cookies. It has amazing flavour and texture. The muffins are very good but I’m on a diet so I’m sticking to the occasional cookie. The dark roast coffee is (IMO) the best cup in the city. I’ve had a number of the sandwiches. My favourite is a toss up… the grilled cheese sandwich (with aged cheddar, basil and sundried tomato) or the meatloaf sandwich (with Brady’s tasty homemade sauce). I can’t decide! Perhaps someday I’ll buy both for lunch and decide once and for all.
I don’t want to tell anyone about this place!. Ciboulette is a tiny gem with a small, changing selection of sandwiches, soups, and salads. The broccoli salad is to die for.
I went back for…. …the breakfast wrap. Monday morning comfort food 101. Fresh cilantro detailed salsa, smooth creamed guacamole, melted cheddar over egg, and whole chunks of potato, all wrapped in a soft tortilla …grilled, served as a hand-held bundle of joy.[Ciboulette is an offshoot of Chives restaurant, which often uses local/seasonal ingredients. The avocado was a bit stray, but I’ll take the exception.]30 Apr, 2009Redefining grilled cheese…. …may be one of the most admirable successful acts of culinary goodness there is.This cheese melting, sundried tomato oozing, rosemary infusing grilled deliciousness (I finished it before I could figure out what type of bread it was…. good good fat bread) stole my heart. The other half (this is the bonus of splitting two sandwiches with a colleague) was a roasted zucchini and red pepper bed of bliss covered with a touch of cheese, in a clear love affair between two slices of hearty thick whole wheat bread. And don’t get me started on the melt-in-your-lips chocolate chunk cookie. Sigh.
