Dee Dee’s Ice Cream is a shoppe I’d frequently go out of my way for in Halifax. Creamy, but firm ice cream with a good selection of flavours.The assortment of ice cream is based on natural flavours. Not artificial colouring, just a focus on taste. The shaker lemon is just a pure hit of lemon that’s not too mild and not too overpowering, just a flavourful citrus taste. The banana cardamom is a refreshingly cool and spicy banana hit. And the mint chocolate is a mild mint flavour with nice chunks of chocolate within. Some of the best ice cream I’ve had and definitely worth considering picking up a pint or two to take home.I did go for breakfast to try the ice cream but realized they also serve other food like a Breakfast Burrito which was actually quite enjoyable. Nice crisp grilled wrap with lots of ingredients stuffed into it like potatoes, eggs, sausage, beans and salsa. There’s a lot of ingredients packed into this burrito and it’s pretty dense. The burrito will definitely fill you up and it’s a great way to start the day with ice cream.There’s limited seats in Dee Dee’s, but the service is quick and friendly and it’s seems like a popular spot for locals. But considering they offer great ice cream and it’s also a place to stop for a meal, it’s definitely a must stop restaurant in Halifax.

Amazing ice cream with interesting flavones like banana cardamom. The ice cream is made with fresh ingredients like vanilla beans from Madagascar. They also make delicious lemonade and burritos. Perfect spot for a lunch or light supper on a sunny day.
