Agonisingly slow service and then there were errors in the order. Calamari was good but quantity was markedly different among plates served. Tuna was delicious but served on spinach drowned in a dressing that was too acidic for the meal. Restaurant was very noisy.

Favorite Restaurant. My husband and I love Fiasco! We went the first time on our 1-year anniversary (5 years ago) and have been going back ever since. The restaurant underwent some changes last year which have been up and down, but things are back to normal. The quality of the food is worth every penny of the price! The sauces are like french sauces – so amazing you want to lick them off your plate (but can’t). The service is great and the atmosphere is nice and intimate. When you go to Fiasco it’s your night out – whether it’s a night out alone for the 2 of us, or we’re meeting others to conduct business Fiasco is the perfect place. We go as much as we possibly can.

True to its name. Bad experience with a bad taste. Even though we made reservations, we were seated next to the kitchen. Strike one. The warm spinach salad was prepared with leaves with very long stems, makes for very awkward eating. I was brought the wrong main course, sent it back, it was brought back to me with insistence that the order was correct. Strike two. We had a bottle of white wine with our meal, brought by a different server. When I requested a glass of water for my companion, the server tried to take away her wine glass, not aware that we were not drinking wine by the glass. I had apple strudel for dessert, was supposed to be served with gelato, none was supplied and the walnuts in the desert were rancid. Strike three. My main course was listed as tagliatelle noodles, fetuccini was what arrived on the plate. We were not offered tea or coffee before, with or after our dessert. This is supposed to be a high end restaurant, we were whisked in and out in one hour and fifteen minutes, but only because we lingered after the meal. The setting is nice, the staff are politely neutral and uncaring. I had a very memorable meal in this restaurant 4 years ago but this is not the same place. They truly deserve their title of fiasco. Skip this one, there are better choices available to you in Halifax.

This restaurant has it all. Being a very picky eater it’s hard to please me. The prices are on the upper end but compared to others in the area is on par. The sauces make you warm and remind you that keeping it simple makes the point. The calamari is by far the best I’ve ever eaten. The specials are different and refreshing. The service was fantastic and the owners even found the time to make the rounds to check the clients experience and say hello. Been there 4 times in 2 years it’s a must go location. Keep up the great job.

For the price range, Fiasco is the best restaurant in the city. The staff are fantastic and the food is always great. Intimate and nice. We highly recommend it.

The sauces!. The sauces at Fiasco are amazing – best in the city, I think. The service was brusque the last time I was in, and we were in and out too quickly. This is a spot to linger and enjoy the food. Well worth a splurge.

Food was very well prepared and presented. The restaurant lacked in ambience. Pricing seemed a little high compared to similar dining in the area.
