I love to go to The Fireside for a drink. The atmosphere in their new location is cozy, warm, and yet super modern. They’ve achieved a lot with their new space, so bravo. The food is not worth it for me at all- I don’t find anything to be particularly appetizing and it takes a long time to arrive usually. But as I said- I don’t go for the food- I go for the drinks (which are expertly prepared) and the atmosphere.
I decided to try the fireside restaurant with my girlfriend and 2 year old son and when we got to our table it took a very long time to get a server and it was not that busy so I don’t know why it took so long to take the orders. When we finally received our food it was not appetizing and was disgusting. Myself, girlfriend and 2 year old son did not like the food and never finished our meals and felt nauseous after eating the food. and after what seemed to be rushed out of the restaurant leaving we seen the cooks in the back parking lot smoking with a strong smell of weed and I was with my family!. I’ll never be back to that place ever again. Very bad experience.
The food was atrocious! The carbonara was watery, not creamy at all and the chicken in it was bland lacking any seasoning or flavour at all. The cook, i cannot call him a chef, needs his head examined when they thought up the Singapore Noodles. It bore no resemblance whatsoever to that dish. It should be fresh and vibrant, caramelized onions and chili flakes are not what this dish is supposed to be mainly composed of. We even noticed tables around us sending food back! We will not return and will advise our friends to avoid this place.
The Fireside is an amazing find! The crepes were incredible and the salad that came with it had the best dressing I’ve ever tasted! Service was perfect!
Went for lunch and split the delicious seared scallops in salad. I ordered the Greek Chicken sandwich which included grilled chicken,feta,olives,tomatoes & lettuce in a pita. The plate was garnished with beet and sweet potato chips.
A great place to catch up with friends. A nice place with comfy seating, good food&drink, and fireplaces. It is generally very busy on Monday nights, as they have martini specials that evening.
