Best place for lunch!. I love Mexicali Rosa’s, they have excellent food, and they recently installed small tv’s, almost like i tablets in each booth. If your going on a weekend, go for lunch. It gets very crowded in the evening. Overall, Awesome Food!
Dissappointed. Just had an evening meal at Mexacali Rosas on Spring Garden Road in Halifax. Beautiful summer evening on the rooftop. Huge potential for a nice time… Very plain tacos, pink slime beef, no avacado, brought wheat tortillas instead of corn, and got sick within 1 hour of eating… The music was too loud and only one server… What can I say? Do not eat there.
Bland Mexican Food. I have tried Mexican in so many places it’s hard to keep count, and this was not THE worst, but definitely on the lower end of the spectrum. Bland, boring, and overpriced for what you get. The patio is pretty nice on a summer evening for drinks – other than that, I’d pass on the place.
Love the new locale – same cheap good pub food BUT add the most awesome deck in the city (of former thirsty duck fame) – a lime green margarita sitting against the lime green wall ?? Unforgettable !!
Horrible experience. Firstly what happened to daily specials? Secondly what happened to good service.. I know everyone needs a job but the place was practically empty and she still couldn’t get it right, not even the bill. Now the food, it was over priced, over salted and overall completely over rated. The mexican flag was just plain insulting and i’m not even mexican.
Disappointing. The taco salad was wilted iceberg lettuce with a few mushrooms in a burnt taco shell with Kraft ranch dressing. My child’s burger was overcooked and his side of veggies consisted of 4 carrot sticks. There are so many better restaurants nearby – this one’s not worth it!
Love the chicken nachos! Prices have crept up over the years, but a consistently good tex-Mex food.
