What a Letdown. While I would not classify my meal there as horrible it certainly was far below average. It started out alright with an okay calamari appetizer but considering we are right on the coast, it didn’t seem as fresh expected. However, everything after that was really not worth waiting the inexplicably long wait. People that had come after us ended up coming after us. Finally when we got our food, the hamburger was more in the likeness of charcoal and seasoned poorly, while the clam chowder was lacking in flavor. Along with not getting any service what so ever, it was such a waste of time and money.
Overpriced. High prices for mediocre and forgettable dishes; really weak watered down house beer. They don’t carry Keith’s or any interesting microbrews on their drink menu. The only appeal of this place is it’s location by the water.
No manners.. It seems their food is not generally liked. I emailed them asking for information about one of their boats, but never got a reply. Seems their manners leave something to be desired too!
DO NOT GO THERE. We stopped for an early dinner/late lunch. Never again. My partner had a seafood salad that had only 4 of the 6 types of seafood from the menu in it. I had a stuffed chicken that had the large bone still in it and was so dry. My fresh veggies could had used something to take away from the dryness. I will say the our server was great, first rate.

So So Seafood. The lobster lunch we had was part of a cruise ship excursion. They gave us a whole lobster, some potato salad and dry rolls. I wish we would have had the option to skip the lunch because it was pretty mediocre. We had tons of lobster the whole cruise and this meal was forgettable.
Poor Choice. We visited Nova Scotia and PEI and loved the scenery and lots of quality meals, but Murphys was a total disapointment. Saying that you have the best Seafood Chowder in the province doesn’t leave a lot of room when the tiny bowl comes almost cold and should be called potato and carrot soup. We tried 6 different chowders while on holiday and Murphys was definately the worst. Add to that that we went on the Mar cruise at Murphys. They promise appitizers on the cruise , when failed to provide with the excuse they got a new emplyee. This was a beautiful location but POOR food and the over promise /under deliver business.
