Awful!!. Can’t decide which was worse the food or the service. The restaurant was just about empty when we were there but we still had to request menus after sitting there for 10 minutes. We had a toddler with us and it took 20 minutes for a scrambled egg and a piece of toast to come out for her. When the rest of our food came out it was cold and tasted like cardboard. Stay away!!!
This is supposed to be fine dining. It was worse than terrible. We had the prime rib special which came with mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. After a 45 minute wait for the food to arrive at our table, The steak tasted like paper and the Yorkshire pudding was a ball of grease that exploded in your mouth. The potatoes were all right. Service was awful. We also ordered some crab cakes that were too salty and the waiter expressed he did not know why they would be so salty, did not take off of the bill and offered us free dessert. Who wants free dessert when the food and service were so dismal. We were just dying to leave that place ASAP. We expressed our discontent but neither manager nor chef came to apologize. We were charged for the entire bill even though 4 out of 6 dishes were sent back to the kitchen without having been eaten. Do not go there; save your time, your money, and do not patronize them.
Arrived at duffys after 11 on a week day looking for lunch and was given a breakfast menu with 8 items, picked the standard breakfast (beacon eggs and roasted red potatoes) first off eggs where sisco easy eggs, toast came out non buttered and cold and potatoes where cubed sisco brand non seasoned, high end prices tarrible food. Now our server was very snippy and very rude as we watched how she act around other clients.Over 30 dollars for for tarrible experience stick with a McDonald’s mcgriddle …
Has gone downhill fast. I used to love this place. My hubby and I frequented it when it was on spring garden road and loved our suppers there. When it moved to Bedford Row I was happy to have it as a lunch option. For awhile I was going there twice a week for lunch. Then they started changing menu items and raising prices. Their lunch time steak sandwich seems to go up $1 every time I visit the place. They changed their fries, which used to be the best fries in the city, and they changed their chili, etc, etc. They also started charging $1.50 to add cheese to their chili when it used to be free. These little changes and annoyances over the past few months has turned me off of the place. My friends and I will be looking for somewhere else to frequent for lunch.
No better time to try out Ryan Duffys than a New Years day brunch. My partner had the lobster benny-no surprise there! Although he enjoyed the dish, especially the housemade hollandaise, it could have been elevated with better home fries and a higher quality or housemade English muffin. My dish, the Mexican skillet, was nothing short of wonderful. Chorizo, peppers, sweet potatoes, poached eggs, chipotle hollandaise, and gruyere. Although I didn’t taste the hollandaise much over the strong cheese, I am certainly not complaining! Paired with some good coffee and $4 mimosas, this brunch was a winner. Modern yet warm decor and some friendly and relaxed service top it all off. Totally my style.
Overpriced…. VERY Overpriced!. Decided to take my grandparents out for a nice dinner tonight, so we went to Ryan Duffy’s. When we looked at the prices on the menu, I thought I would have to call 9-1-1 because they just about went into cardiac arrest. They both decided to order the seafood chowder, which was $12.50 for an 8oz serving (see photo).I ordered the chicken breast stuffed with fig & pancetta and served over wild rice risotto, which was $28.Although all of the food was tasty, we were waiting for the rest of the chowder to come out but all that came was the bill. We were all VERY disappointed with the portion size of the chowder for the price.Make sure you look over the menu before you go in the door. I might suggest a wonderful Chinese buffet located nearby that will remain unnamed by me.Cheers.
Slightly overpriced, lunch fairly regular food. Service is hit or miss. Good seafood chowder, and fries
