This used to be one of my go-to viet spots in the city. Decent vermicelli and pho. However my last visit the vermicelli noodles weren’t fully cooked and when I noted this to the owner, she said it was normal as per how they handle the noodles. Not apologetic or offer to replace my meal. Barely ate my dish and requested for the bill. All she could do was 10% off and still no apology. I used to eat here at least once a week. No more. You lost a loyal customer.
First time there. Visiting from the west, has a meal here in a party of five. Food was great, service was wonderful, place was clean. I would go back.
Very disappointing. We ate a lot of Vietnamese in Calgary before moving out East. We were excited to eat it again without having had it in about a year. I got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli and my wife got the spicy ribs. The restaurant was dead when we ate there but still my food was cold and flavorless when it got there, and my wife’s ribs were tough. Nice atmosphere though.
Disappointed =(. I am a BIG pho lover, pho is like comfort food for me. With the big bowl of hot tasty soup, bean sprouts, drops of lime juice, beef and a touch of cilantro-how can you go wrong?Well, if you’re not careful, everything. It was a quiet night yet our middle aged waitress was leaning over our table to get our drink order-WAY too close for comfort, I did not come here to see half of your body lingering over our table top. She seemed very indifferent, barely smiled and almost seemed grumpy. The pho was 8.99, inexpensive. Yet, the cheap price does not even match the even cheaper food content. The soup was tasteless, and I counted, there were 3 small pieces of beef and 4 tiny pieces of tripe in my dish. A very big disappointment. In other cities, at least a good 15% of pho is meat (with tendons!!) compared to the 3% we experienced today. Although the pho was inexpensive, the quality and service was too cheap to be considered a fair dining experience. The only plus side I guess is that the salad roll’s were amazing.
Pho-sure!. Finally a place with great Pho in town! I really like this place..really great pho..and lots of other good things on the menu too.
Ok food, bad service. The food are ok but the service of the restaurant owner is really blowing me aways. the restaurant always empty for a reason.
The banana spring roll with mango sauce was scrumptious! Very good overall experience.
