Stone cooked pizza? Alright!. Good food, great service, great prices. I would recommend the Argyle as a place to meet up with friends or as a place to eat before a Metro Centre event or concert. I particularly like the fresh salads and the oven stone cooked pizza. Simply delicious!
Great Pizza. I’ve popped in a couple times and always get their pizza. It is incredibly tasty as you can’t beat the taste of stone cooked pizza. I’ll be back.
Now I know why you don’t put cheese on seafood. There were a couple of specials that I could choose from for the day, but it really came down to the Feature catch or a speciality pizza. Seeing that Halifax is a coastal town and I am from a land locked area I decided to go with the Feature catch, after eating I really wished I would have gone with the pizza. The fish was overcooked, rough and tough. I didn’t know you could cook a white meat fish wrong, but some how they figured it out. I have watched a few cooking shows over the years and the point that you never combine seafood and cheese is always brought up, I never knew why this was until I ate the featured catch. It was crusted with a cheese (not sure which type) but it absolutely was a terrible flavor when combined with the fish. I had to pick it off in order to even finish. For being a city next to the harbour, you would think they could cook a fish right (or even have fresh fish) but somehow they managed to screw it up. Latter I was told by a coworker that the pizzas are great and I should have gotten one of them. Oh well there is always next time.
Pizza here is always a win says my boyfriend – I had the scallop Kebob & enjoyed it fully. I’m lactose intolerant an they accommodated my dish easily with no fuss!
Old Fav But Not So Much Now. Okay this use to be one of my favorite places!!! However I went a couple of months ago and It’s gone significantly downhill. The service was once bubbly,friendly and informed about their menu/wines……now, not so much. I went once more after a poor experience and it was still the same. Both times we were served by a lady with her undergarments hanging out of her shirt….I get that some people wouldn’t care about this sort of thing but, Really, I don’t need to see what’s under your shirt while trying to eat my meal.
Well, the food tasted great, but the apatiser came with the main course and it took a while to actually get the food , the starter , which was nachos were already getting soggy cause they waited for the main course to serve it to us…. Oh and the meals are more than 10$ it’s more like 10$-15$$
We loved this place!. The Breakfast menu is fantastic and all the ingredients are fresh and tasty The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly and helpful!They also do wood oven thin crust pizza’s that are made again from fresh and tasty ingredients!The rest of the menu looks very good and they seen to take great care in preparing their food!The kitchen is easily viewable and is sparkling clean! On top of all this the Deserts are all home made including the cheese cake which they make at the restaurant and is the best My wife has ever tasted!Great Job!
