Went here for the first time yesterday and it definitely felt like I was in Ireland. Had an amazing atmosphere, had the fish & chips and they were so good and not greasy at all. Finished it off with some strawberry shortcake which was just amazing and so delicious. Although I liked that they had live music I just wish they hadn’t play when I was there cause it was very hard to talk and catch up with old friends when you have to yell. Will be back for sure.
I got the lamb stew and it was amazing once I added some salt. Very authentic and tasty, it came with some dark honey bread that was very good and paired well with the stew. It was pricey but worth it. Goes well with different beers they serve. Nice staff, amazing atmosphere. I will likely come back.
Had lunch here with my two little guys. Lamb stew was tasty, and my toddler had a Buber from the kids menu. Nice feel to the place and friendly service. I will definitely be coming here again.
They have the best nachos! The snack size is very filling for one person. Actually, they’re so good..you’ll be wanting more once your done. Recommend getting the guacamole as well. Nachos come with good sized sour cream and salsa ( not like dinky size ones some places serve). And the service here is always excellent! Enjoy their Clancy amber ale as well.
I love the food, and I love the ambience especially during live music evenings. One of the best Irish pubs in Halifax. Always a great spot when I feel like having pub food.
The Old Triangle Irish Ale House is a must for food and music and is always packed. Tourists abound here with a great buzz in the place and plenty of local colour that keeps the room interesting. The Triangle offers great beer choices featuring local on tap from Propeller and Keiths. They serve some great imports and seasonal offerings paired with continuous local, traditional live music and a wee hint of cover band spilling over. This is a must stop in Halifax, just to enjoy the ambiance, several pints of ale and people watching. Typical Pub Grub with such Irish-themed items as Mussels Molly Malone and Paddy Fernandez Nachos round out a wide selection of crowd-pleasing food to satisfy. Have the Curried Chips if you can, one of my work mates was raving about them. Service by the amiable and funny Cindy was outstanding. followsummer.net
