Standard bar lounge/pub. Recently when through some interiors changes, giving it less of s pub feel and more of a hotel lounge feel – to its detriment. My husband and I use to frequent this place for their nachos, but have done so less since the changes to the interior. Drink selection is adequate, and Cesar’s were good. Lots of options for nachos on spring garden, and so this one has fallen on the favorites list.

I was in for business and took a group out for dinner. The steak was way over priced at $45, the presentation was poor and the taste was bland. There was no salt and pepper available. We had to ask for bread and got three half pieces of toast. We ordered coffee at the end of the meal which was delivered without milk or cream which did not matter because it was only luke warm and could not of survived the addition of a cool liquid. We really wanted to like this older establishment but unfortunately it ended up being over priced, with poor service and average food quality.

Just finished eating here and was very unimpressed. I stayed in the attached hotel for a week, and had a few meals here… I ordered a Caesar salad which was barely mixed with the dressing, and the server was uninterested in fixing it.., 2nd time I ordered wings which were burnt, and overdone… I highly recommend walking down the street to the any of the other numerous places that offer better fare and a decent price…

Prices are reasonable for this area. Atmosphere is really nice. The staff is all excellent, very friendly and cheerful and the food was quite good.

Its nothing special… but it was good. typical pub fare, the food was good, but it was a little overpriced for what I had ( nachos) there was only 1 server on that we saw, the atmosphere is dark and kinda like a burlesque house….

Good lunch.. November 2009, we ate here twice at lunch times. Good food, and reasonably priced for it’s location in the Lord Nelson Hotel. Service was attentive, and surroundings pleasant. Nice ambiance.(4.5/5)

Pan fried scallops with beef tips and crab mashed potatoes were delicious for $22. Washed down with a cold Boddington’s Cream Ale for $7.50. Lobster roll with sweet potato fries were enjoyed too!
