Looking for a quick late night bite, we stopped over at Willy’s after seeing it on several ‘must try’ lists. This literal hole in the wall offers no seating, so plan your trip here carefully. I ordered a medium poutine and was very pleased to see that they use vegetarian gravy. The fries were nicely cooked and weren’t overly greasy. There was also good gravy and cheese curd coverage. It was just one of the most mediocre poutines I’ve ever tried. There really was nothing remarkable or memorable about it. Really it just tastes like salty fries with cheese. I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to eat here, it’s really not worth it.

I’m new to Halifax (only a few months here) and I have to say that (so far), this place has the best burgers and poutine I’ve had in this city. The burger patty is thick, and delicious, with the perfect amount of topping portions. I like a little chew to my burger (instead of medium rare and soft almost mushy chew) and this burger delivered!I would recommend this place for anyone craving a great burger especially at a decent price.
Awesome Squeek to the Cheese!. Willys is awesome! It serves right out of the window onto Blowers Street for the late night drunkards who need their fast food fix. This place is fast with giant servings and awesome poutine. The cheese in the poutine is awesomely squeeky in the classic Quebec design. If you want to avoid the craziness that is Smokes Poutinerie any late night of the week, than Willys is the place to be! thefoodgirlintown.com
