We found the place to have been disappointing. Our fish was overlooked, the mussels did not have much of a taste and nothing that we ordered impressed us. Service was average. There are plenty of vegan/vegetarian options in the menu.
I’ve only been here once but the food was amazing and was very good price. This is the place to go if you are needing a place to hang with people who are vegan & or gluten free.
Came here for burger week and it was very good. It was all local which I loved. The roasties (fries) were a bit burnt though. The staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere. A bit pricey for regular menu items, so it’s more of a fine pub dining experience. None of the dessert options seemed to catch my eye. I’d come back again but there’s no rush.
I came here years ago when I was a vegetarian, and would still come back even though I now eat meat. Food was a bit expensive, but delicious. Good quality, and at the time I was having a lot of trouble finding veggie food in Halifax so this place was a life saver. If you’re vegetarian or vegan and living or visiting Halifax, this place is for you. I definitely will come back next time I’m in Halifax.
A very good restaurant that’s good for those who are vegan or gluten intolerant. It feels like a pub with a fairly large menu. I opted for the fish and roasties $18.95 which has two pieces of baked haddock with fries (or roasties) but i asked to split the fries in half and get the other half with their apple goat cheese salad which is absolutely delicious. The fries are ok since they’re baked so not as crisp as fried but the baked haddock was very good. Definitely a good place to try and at a good price point in downtown Halifax.
I love the food here so much. The atmosphere, the service, the whole deal. I would eat here more often if everything wasn’t ridiculously overpriced. Thank god I’m not a vegan or vegetarian, because this is definitely one of the better options in the city for vegetarian and vegan options.
Good service. Fabulous food. Eclectic menu for socially conscious foodies everywhere. Enjoyed the kale salad and ginger carrot soup. My husband enjoyed the fish and roasties menu choice.
