Good. I heard a lot of great things about Heartwood and had really wanted to try it out. I did enjoy it but feel somewhat unsatisfied. I really want to return for a second try. I got the spicy peanut bowl and the sauce was great and loved the combo of veggies (except kale, I hate the stuff haha) but it seemed a bit lacking in the portion size for the price. Our waitress was a sweetheart though and I have nothing but love to send to her. Still will give it another shot.
So disappointed… I was looking forward to visiting Heartwood Cafe, but today, I ordered, and then waited 40 minutes… Nothing. One waitress came by to ask if I had gotten my food yet about 25 minutes in, but I was offered no explanation and no one came back to let me know what was going on. I finally gave up and walked out. I hear the food is great, but the service was so bad I didn’t get to find out!
So delicious. The avocado sandwich was AMAZING and I am a meat eater. Can’t wait to come back here.
Nice place. Small, really clean, delicious vegan food and you don’t leave the place smelling like the food. Good exhaust.
My favorite spot in Halifax ( and I am a meat eater!) Organic local ingredients. Don’t miss the nachos and the noodle bowl with peanut sauce.
