  Pretty good donair. Meat has lots of flavour and is juicy. They skimped on the toppings though. Also, a regular is the size of my palm, and I’m a petite female.

  I had to try donairs at the place that takes credit for introducing them to Canada. With a really nice sweet garlic donair sauce. It was really sweet with a mild zest and I may honestly think it’s the best donair sauce I’ve ever had.The donair meat is cut pretty thin, however there’s a lot of it stuffed into the nice pita wrap that it feels pretty think. Nice softness to the meat mixed with some flavourful spices that compliment the sauce well. The donair itself is pretty simple, just tomatoes and onions for filling, so you really focus on the sauce and meat. Its a really good donair, I would definitely return to King of Donair if I’m back in Halifax.There are other items on the menu too and they also take advantage of the sweet donair sauce. The garlic fingers are a basic pizza bread with cheese that are an awesome vehicle for the sauce. The pizza and subs also make use of the donair meat and sauce, so I think they’d be worth trying for another visit.For the original location on Quinpool, King of Donair seems to be a destination to go out of your way for while in Halifax.

  A Pleasant Surprise. Not much to look at, but the service is prime with a good sense of humour. The donairs really are fabulous, and although I have yet to try their pizza, the prices are probably some of the lowest in the city.

  Delicious!. Really great place to grab a really quick bite to eat. Great location next door to the Oxford for a quick meal before a movie. The donairs really were the best and everything was extremely reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place.
