Finally I had the opportunity to try Sweet Hereafter today with my boyfriend. We had been talking about it for ages – and today we actually went! We were not disappointed at all! Although pricier then I would normally pay for a dessert (about $25 for 2 slices of cheesecake, 1 loose tea, tax and tip) it really was so special, comfortable and most importantly delicious! I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants excellent cheesecake in a pleasing atmosphere. We will be back.
Delicious. First and foremost, I love the atmosphere of Sweet Hereafter. The mod Victorian style is very pleasing on the eyes and it’s right up my alley as far as style goes. The damasque pink wallpaper, gorgeous comfortable seating and elegant mirrors really give this place a wonderful vibe. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and I highly appreciate that they have a vegan cheesecake choice, it would be nice if they had more than one option a day but I won’t complain since any option is awesome. Tonight it was the blackforest. Rich, creamy, smooth and flavorful. Simply perfect for the sweet tooth that I have. I will definitely be back to get a taste of their other vegan flavours.
Awesome as always!. I recently had to travel to Ontario, as my husband needed surgury there. I must say that it is nice to go away, but always better to come home….especially when I am coming home to one of my fave restaurants! As always, everything was amazing…the food, the service and the staff. When Im feeling down, Im always cheered up after my first bite : ) keep doing what you do best!
Sweet memories hereafter…. I asked the owner what the impetus was for him starting this cheesecake shop. His answer?: because his wife said he couldn’t bake a cheesecake! Not that he tried. Until, of course, he was challenged. The result? Seriously the best cheesecake this reviewer has ever eaten! (I tried the Poppa Fudge.) It helps that the coffee is local and Eco-friendly, the decor is chic, and the owner is a spot-on fella. But, what really should bring you here is the cheesecake. And, yes, it will deliver! I promise. Don’t miss this gem in Halifax!
We went as a late night treat and we were immediately impresses by the atmosphere this place has, then once more by the amazing selection and variety of cheesecakes available. We has amaretto and chocolate coffee crisp. Unreal, both. At a steep price but unbelievably worth it. Will definitely come again. ($20) for two pieces.
Adorable Restaurant, Delicious Desserts!. I can’t begin to describe how dangerous it is to live across the street from a place like this.If the cute logo outside doesn’t draw you to it immediately, all you have to do is step inside! The decor is great; whoever came up with it deserves a pat on the back. It feels classy and casual at the same time.But the obvious highlight of Sweet Hereafter is their deadly, decadent cheesecakes. Lately, I’ve had the Dark Chocolate Orange as well as the Salted Caramel. Both of them made me swoon!The flavours the owner (who is a super friendly guy, by the way!) comes up with are so interesting, and he’s always trying new things and is very open to suggestions!I really hope to see this place around for a long time to come, it’s a great way to treat yourself, and the cheesecakes are unlike anything I’ve ever tasted.
