Such Good Food! But waaay too hot!. I went here last summer with my sis and bro from Ontario. Fabulous mussel bar! But oh my, there is no A/C in there and it must have been hovering in the high 30’s….. tooooo hot to eat! With such good and reasonable food, can’t you guys get some sort of air conditioning in there? Such a shame but it’s literally not an option for all of us this summer. Just sayin…
Awesome food, excellent prices! Med lobster, all you can eat mussels and salad bar, potato salad, and dessert all for $34. Only suggestion- free refills on pop, come on seriously i can eat as many mussels as I want but can’t get another glass of fountain pop? Overall very happy with this place, a must if you are in the area, we will be back next year!
Authentic Nova Scotia fare. Tasty lobsters, delicious mussels, dory loads of salads and home made desserts. Stay for the dance and you can work it all off later!
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!. What would a trip to the maritimes be without attending at least one lobster supper? Being from the prairies we had never tried one before and it was an excellent experience! The restaurant itself had lots of character and it was like you were being transported back in time. The inside was basically a large hall. Very spacious which was nice because most restaurants nowadays allow very little breathing room! The value for the amount and quality of the food we got was unbelievable. A perfectly boiled 1 pound lobster plus unlimited salad and mussel bar, rolls and dessert for only $28. There was good variety from potato salad, to macaroni salad, to tons of fresh vegetables. Also the mussels were fresher than fresh. And don’t even get me started on the star of the meal, the lobster. So buttery it melted in my mouth! Not to mention the servers were very helpful. For those unexperienced at cracking open a lobster they explained the best method to get the most meat out as possible (with the least amount of frustration!).Dessert was the only part that I didn’t absolutely love (which was ok because I was so full from the main course). I had the fudge brownie which was a little more dry than fudgy but it tasted ok. Should have ordered the blueberry shortcake considering the berries were local and freshly picked. What a fun experience. The Shore Club is obviously doing things right considering they have been around since 1946. Over 60 years and still going strong. I wouldn’t change a thing! becauseilikechocolate.com
Excellent all around!. Excellent service, very personable place. The food was delicious. We had the lobster dinner (large), all you can eat salad bar and all you can eat cultivated mussels, wine and dessert. If you are looking for great Nova Scotia hospitality, this is the place to experience it.Thank you Rhys!
The best place to eat lobster in Nova Scotia. They have been doing it longer than anyone else. If you haven’t eaten here before drop what you are doing and go now. Saturday nights have live bands more fun than any place around Halifax. Great staff, great service. I love this place!
