The Nova Scotian Emporium & Fireside Tearoom is located in the heart of Truro's downtown shopping district. Its embossed tin ceilings, wainscoting and hardwood floors are original to the c.1890 building. While enjoying lunch or dessert, take in the excellent array of giftware, kitchen gadgets, bedding, baby products, and fine Nova Scotia products in the gift shop on the adjacent two floors. We have an onsite bakery and do special orders/catering for any occasion. The Tearoom features soups made daily, fresh salads, seafood chowder, frittatas, specials and 'almost sinful' desserts baked daily in our own oven. We take great pride in offering you the freshest ingredients in our menu selections. For the tea enthusiast, we offer 15+ blends of teas, including several herbals.
