I love hummus, but tend to not like falafel. I expected the hummus to be good, and it was. What I was not expecting was how good the falafels were. I’ve been back a few times, and I feel like this is an above average place to go for a snack/lunch, if you’re okay with their limited menu.
Food was amazing , I would say the best falafels in Ottawa.They are very clean, nice atmosphere and staff very friendly , ( thr music was a bit to loud ) I would defently come back again. There fawaffle is Amazing, the food did took a while however it was worth the wait.
Fantastic falafel and hummus, incomparable customer service. I was delighted by the crispy and flavourful falafel, I’ve never had anything like it; and I’ve had a lot of falafel. They’ll see me again soon!
Great little place in a hidden part of Trainyards. Creative flavours and tasty food. Ginger and Mango are a genius idea with falafel.Love the cucumber water idea as well. Friendly staff and great atmosphere, everything moves quickly even in the busiest times.
I’ve been on the hunt for a good falafel in Ottawa for years; I’ve finally found the place for it! I love the freshness of their food, you can really taste the difference a scratch kitchen makes. I also love the unique hummus flavours (mango hummus!). Staff is super friendly, always checking up and patiently answering questions. Definitely going back.
I was at chickpeas in the fall and had an absolutely amazing falafel wrap. It was so tasty with the perfect blend of spice and texture. I wish there was a chickpeas in Kanata….I’d be there every week. Definitely worth a visit!!!!
I really do love this place. As someone who eats mostly plantbased foods it is great to have a restaurant that I can eat everything at, and everyone else I bring loves too! I haven’t had a single person that I’ve brought to Chickpeas not have a wonderful meal. One thing I have to say specifically, is that their falafel is perfect. I’ve always loved falafel and I think I had come to terms with the fact that while tasty, it was always going to be kind of dry. Not so at Chickpeas. It is moist, delicious, and made fresh for you. Looking forward to many more visits.
