This place has good pho but the two times I brought my fianc his meals were really bland. Exceptionally bland if that makes sense. They need to up the spice!
Surprisingly good!. I wasn’t expecting much from this place, but it turned out surprisingly good for food in a strip mall location. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much but the interior is quite nicely decorated. I had the crispy sesame beef – well cooked, the sauce was very good and overall manageable portions.
Average at best. If you like dry and bland pad thai, this is your place!

Disappointing. This is the second time I went to Oh Basil for lunch with a friend. I got the pho with chicken. The broth was tasty and the veggies sides fresh but the chicken was stale rather hard and tasted odd . It was obviously pre-cooked chicken breast then sliced into the pho. my friend had a fried rice dish with a spring roll and grilled beef and again the beef was tough. We both left the meat on the plate. The spring roll was delish though. It was also rather expensive compared to other pho places.There are so few good places in the Alta vista- Elmvale area that this is rather sad!There are so many great Vietnamese restaurants in Ottawa that i will skip this one.
Garbage. Pricey.
Never leave this place without trying the fusion roll and shrimp pancakes … amazing appetizers
