Wow!!!! This is the type of place that’s hard to find… Owners working in the kitchen…. This greasy spoon is the Best I have seen in a long long time… Breakfast are amazing Food is home made from scratch i never are anything I didn’t like.One of the waitresses has ben working there for 27 years! That speaks for itself…….
Avoid. Fried Eggs are Garbage, not cooked. completely inedible.Eggs Benedict is not that bad, but still undercooked.Undercooked food seems to be a theme at this restaurant, go to somewhere that properly prepares your meal.
Terrible customer service today. My partner ordered pancakes and I a club sandwhich platter. His food arrived and we continued to wait for mine. After he had finished half his meal, we clearly looked agitated so they brought the sandwhich part of my platter. After we had both finished our meals they sheepishly brought out the fries to my platter – finally! I expect restaurants to own up for their terrible customer service by either reducing the price of the affected dish or comping part of the meal, such as my pop. This restaurant made no effort to make amends for their screw-up. This place is not worth the effort it takes to get there. No wonder there were few patrons. Mediocre food and terrible customer service, I recommend you go elsewhere.
Very dishonest service. At this second time we have the worst experience in how a small family business can turn wrong with the service of one of the family member.The server i believe is related to the cook and she provide no information about the invoice. She never bring the invoice to the table, she always charge directly to the machine and when you ask for the receipt is when you discover that your are charge for the extra coffee and other extra that she not mention at the moment that offer even if you get the plate with the coffee included. Is not a problem to paid what we eat and drink but we should be informed and I ask twice if the coffee was included. She and the cook start discussing about why she charge the coffee but she never retract or excuse for no give the correct information.As a client I see some irregularities, the fact that she no provide the invoice at the table for us to verify before we paid and different prices that what is in the menu before 11am that is not advertise.So i will report this irregularities to the Better Business Bureau.I not recommend this place unless this situation change.
Worst breakfast!!! Took almost an hour for our order to come out. Really, is breakfast that tough to make?!
Awsome Little Diner. We went to the White Horse Restaurant to eat when our train was delayed for an hour. The restaurant is a 5 min walk from the Ottawa VIA station. We weren’t sure if the place was open because it was empty. The gentleman in the back waved us in and was super friendly. We had our luggage with us so he asked how much time we had and said he would make sure we had lots of time to eat. It was the afternoon but they still serve breakfast. Awesome breakfast and the pea soup was good too. The food was good and the service was super friendly. Great breakfast joint. I will definitely be going back! P.S. For those people waiting at VIA for a delayed train I would recommend just walking here for a drink. That’s what another couple did while we were there.
I go here every Friday for breakfast with a friend and we don’t even have to tell the waitress what we want because she already knows, great breakfast for under five bucks!
