Best Halibut. Just finished eating at The Lighthouse Fish and Chips and I’d definitely go back again. Hard to believe they’ve been open for a year now and this was my first time dining there. The portion size was very large and really delicious. I ordered the halibut and chips, mushy peas and deep fried pickles and they gave me a small take-out container of ther curry sauce to try because I was too stuffed to try it there. Everything is homemade. But what made the experience for me were the owners; they take pride in what they do, they’re super friendly and British!!! You’ve got to try it.
Just like the fish and chip shops back home!. I can’t believe how awesome this chippy is… It’s exactly the same warm welcoming and fresh fish experience I’m used to back home.. I’m new to Canada and so walking into this chippy was like stepping into England! The food was spot on and filling and all for a very reasonable price….. Definitely a hidden gem!

Friday Fish Take-away. My brother and I ordered Haddock and chips for takeout. They waited till we got there to put the fish on, but despite the added wait it meant everything was still fresh and crispy when we got it home. One of the best fish and chip spots in town and for folks in the West end its also nice and close.
I took my boys to the lighthouse for valentines and we loves it. The fish was perfectly lightly battered. We had deep fried pickles and sausages as an appetizer. They make their own curry which goes perfect with their homemade fries or the pickles and sausages. The owners were very friendly and the restaurant was clean. My boys told me they can’t wait to go back and I agree!!! Highly recommended.
